오랫만에 Protege 웹 사이트에 들려 보았는데 새로운 것(문서, 위키)들이 많이 추가되어 있다.
눈길을 끄는 것은 protégé training & support program 인데, 사용자들에게 강의를 해준다는 것인데.
가격이 만만치 않다.

500 달러라? 괜찮겠다. 얼마나 많이 신청을 할지 모르지만 온톨로지 개발에 유일무일한 툴이라면.
이건 더 쇼킹하다.

오픈소스임에도 뛰어난 기능을 제공할 수 있다면 이런 수익모델이 가능하다는 얘기다. Protege 팀이 강의로 얼마나 벌어들일 수 있을지 모르지만, 시장이 넓은 분야의 오픈소스는 해볼만 하다는 생각이 든다. 물론 이미 이렇게 하고 있겠지만.
